Front Wheels are making a "Clack" noise
I have a 2001 E 430 and about a year ago I bought some nice 19" aftermarket rims. About 3 months ago the front left one makes a "clacking" noise when I drive. This noise is driving me mad. I sound like I am 7 years old again and put a card in the spokes of my bmx bike. I put my stock rims on the front only and the noise completely went away.
I had the rim repaired and it went away for about a day and then came back. There were no visible cracks in the wheel, but they said it was warped.
I may have to just repace the rim,but wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions first.
Thanks

Besides checking the wheel also check the suspension components on that side. The larger wheel may be changing the position of the suspension in a way that the stock wheels can't replicate. Pull the wheel off and look for anything out of the ordinary.
