I just inherit a 2001 w210 e320 silver ~
My W210 is stock and i wanted to do some minor mods on the car.
What mods should i do within the car that is below $1,500. I know the budget is kind of low but thats all i can spend within the car since i am a college student with a part time job. Ideas, opinions, advices & suggestions will be well appreciated for a new member like me.
Thank you for your time and hopefully i could meet some of you guys, i live in the bay area btw.

Cheers!
Pics of the car!
Who will be paying for the maintenance? How is the condition of the car? Assuming nothing major needs replacing then within your modding budget you should consider:
- Second hand set of wheels & tyres
- Springs to lower the car
If you have to maintain the car yourself, well I'd save that $1,500 for some of the bigger ticket repair/replacement items.
Enjoy
Basically, it has 98k miles and my mom had a major tune up inspection at 94k miles. So far there are no problems, its just the tires is at 4/32 or 40% left so i was thinking of those amg monoblock ii wheels from the w211 e55 and what kind of springs should i look into it? H&r or eibach? I am willing to spend $1500 max and i wanted to have those depo hid headlight projectors since my headlight is blurred.
was my first 4 wheeler in 25 yrs. then, i began frequenting the various 210
forums and began an embarrassing, illogical downward spiral. if i can correctly
recall the chronological order, it was something like this:
35% tinted windows - $200
Depo projectors headlights (guts are quality projectors from E55 bixenon) $600
LED city light module - $30
clear lens fog lights - $125
swapped for Audio10 head unit - $250 (for dash accessible CD slot)
taillights from 00-02 E55 $250 (to rid oval design)
outside mirror turn signals - $250 (you wont need these)
211 E55 rims - $1000 (i hated the 10 hole stock rims)
Eibacht lowering springs - $200
Bilstein shocks - $250 (used from forum member)
trunk amplified subwoofer - $200
E55 Designo multicontour seats - $1500
some silly flat hood badge - whatever
chrome, slim bodied door lock pull - $20
wood trimmed shift knob - $50 (used from forum member)
clear bumper/corner lens - $75
'stealth' silver bulbs with amber filament - $20
save $ in escrow fund for things likely to fail, requires renewing or maintenance:
CPS sensor ($100), cabin air filters ($100), MAF sensor ($140), good detailing,
claying and wax job, leather treatment for seats to keep pliable, 3M plastic
film for headlight, brake light switch ($20), segments on dash display tend to
fail sooner than they should, same for instrument panel bulbs....and the
ubiquitous tree air freshener. ;-)
i'm sure we can all add more to the list as we read the forum, look at photos
of each others' rides....and day dream what we would like.
haha. hope to see you at a meet soon bud! and like the other guys said... if you don't have to worry about maintenance (I don't just yet because my parents are helping me out! fellow college student lol) then definitely go for a nice, used set of wheels and some springs and shocks. you can't go wrong with monoblocks!
hope to meet you sometime. enjoy your baby

However by only replacing the springs you're likely to wear out your standard shocks faster.
On your budget, I'd try and stress to just find what you can second hand.
Monoblocks will look good! Nice and clean!
I'd also recommend an Avantgarde/AMG grille (5 chrome horizontal slats)

bmroxm5, im thinking of coilovers too if i have extra budget on it. I really wanted the monoblocks II from the e55 but will a brabus monoblock IV 18x8.5 et35 fit on our W210? As most people change their pads all around to #1 i might try these first before lowering my car and see if theres still a huge amount of gap left.

There's no real 'coilover' option for our cars, due to the design of the suspension architecture. As such, all 'coilovers' will be a 'spring and shock' combo. Albeit, these 'spring and shocks' might be height adjustable so you can get the height you want...
If you can DIY install you can save a bit of money...
#1 pads on stock springs will still be sky-high. You'll just end up spending time/paying someone to lower your car 10mm when it needs a minimum of 40mm drop
