Radiator
I forgot to mention also. The radiator has been leaking a while also and I want to change it . Do I need a radiator with or without the oil cooler? 2001 E430 Thanks

Do you mean the cooler for the transmission fluid? If so, I believe you do.

Yes I just call all those coolers oil coolers. The way I learned what they were when I was growing up was oil cooler.Regardless of what they cooled. Are they called Transmission oil coolers ?

I believe the cooler is integrated with the radiator. The fluid lines screw into it.

I found an OEM rad. The company listed a radiator without the cooler. When I saw that I thought straight drive. I didnt think Benz made an E430 with standard transmission. So, I thought I would check with you experts (because I am far from that when it comes to the Benz) about what to do. Sorry to confuse everyone . But I think I got it now. Thanks

Correct, there were no E430s imported to the USA (for sale as new cars from the dealers) with manual transmissions.
