I'm not sure if you can tint acylic and if you can, if it will last. I know you can tint glass without any problems but acrylic . Maybe you can use that spray-on tint like they use on plastic convertible windows but it's sometimes a little cloudy looking...

Would you be applying from the outside or from the inside??? I would be afraid of it being peeled off from rocks chips and such...

I've seen stick-on films with a slightly reflective psychodelic tint (i.e. multi-colored and changes with the angle you look at it). They're available here in HK if anyone's interested.

Sounds a little to cheezy for me but maybe they have tinted ones by the same mfr. Next you'll be tinting your windows with that rainbow, metallic sparkle looking tint and applying a "Cruising" sticker to the back window...lol...jk...

Actually it's mostly a light purply color - many guys do it on the 4WD's here.

BTW, you forgot to mention the Peace and Smiley stickers

Paint them. I've seen the rears smoked (painted) on many cars. I'd guess that the same can be done to the headlights. Can't be removed though.

Is the paint going to be able to take the heat? Better with HID Xenons maybe?

That was my suggestion exactly but the taillights don't get any heat when compared to the xenon headlights. I am wondering if the paint will end up blistering and bubbling up. That will be a big mess...

I never thought of the heat. I'll ask someone who might know the answer.

Is this the look you are trying to acheive?

I bought a tint spray and tried it on my previous car.

The stuff will hold without question. It is specifically made for this application. But tinting you actual headlamps does hinder light output, even though it didn't that much when I did it. But, it did some...

I did also clear coat after the tint.....

The tint spray lasts, but reapplication would be necessary on say a yearly basis or so...
