i have 1999 E430 and it has a knocking sound comming from my right side head, its not a ticking or tapping sound, its a knocking sound, i have narrow the noise too cly. #2, now the question is what can it be, the cam, the lifter, or the rocker.

Rod knock? But I've haven't heard that sound in over 20 years.
