E320 check light problem
Hello MB users! I am new to the forum and willing to give it a shot. To start off, my name is John. Recently, my check engine light went on followed by a numerous lamp defective lamp warnings. (Basically, i reset the light warnings over and over, but anyways). So i borrowed an obd reader and got these error readings from it.
*P0341 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
*P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)
*P0446 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction
*P0450 Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Malfunction
*P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
Now, i see some of them are related to each other, but my main concern is with the camshaft position sensor. What could be the reason for that code to pop up! As for the other 4 codes, i went to check my fuel cap and cant tell if thats the problem or not. I do not want to go to a mechanic without having a slight knowledge to the problem. Thank you guys in advance.

I see you have had no answers, so I will try and help:
- First check that your gas cap is fully turned, then delete the codes. If they come back, try buying a new proper MB cap from dealer. If that is not the problem, then maybe there really is a problem in the fuel tank vent system.
- Re P0341 - I have never had that, but if you search here and on Benzworld W210 forums, something should come up. I think I have seen posts about replacing the cps - perhaps that is what they are referring to? Hopefully some here will chip in.

MBWorld Fanatic!
the issue with CPS is largely a (frequent) failure of the crankcase position sensor....
which is different than the OP's reference to camshaft position sensor.
factory gas caps for 210s can be found on ebay for $30 shipped. one person
recently reported getting one from his local dealer for $25. so shop around

Hey guys, thanks for your reply. Although I changed my cap, still i get the same errors. Aaa, and i thought it was maybe something from the converters which i was hearing some noises, where at the end it came out there was minimum oil in the engine, got ripped off for changing a converter. (my other freakin mechanic forgot to install the seal rings i assume) but i think i got it on time. still hearing a light knock in the engine. I have to check that also. But the emission problem is a hassle.
