2001 E430 Wagon
In the market for '01 E430 sedan - Any advice?
Hi all - I am currently in the market for a 2001 MB E430. I am looking at one with about 65,000 miles, 3 owner (but the carfax looks like it is a 2 owner with the dealer taking ownership at some point???) I now drive the EWagon 430 from the same year and have enjoyed its reliability - although the MB dealer has taken me to the bank a few times, as expected.
Can any of you offer advice or recommendations regarding this specific year and class of MB? I enjoy my wagon but want something a bit smaller to move around in. I am looking to purchase in about a month - around south Florida. Thanks for any input provided!

98 Brilliant Silver E320 Wagon
Since you already know about W210's, I'd say you shouldn't have much trouble sorting out the bad ones. My rule of thumb is to pick the best 'example' within a range of years/models since once a car is 10+ years old care is what matters.

2001 E430 Wagon
Sorry guys - First, I was mistaken by the year of my wagon - it is a 2000 E320 Touring Wagon. Second, I was not aware that they have the same wheelbase as the sedans? That is good to know.
Also, I think I have found a decent one in the south florida area (details in the intro post) - is there anything specific I need to be looking for when I go take a look at it?
Thanks for all the feedback so far.
