2002 E320 Wagon - Value Opinions
I am about to join the MB family (my first post) with the acquisition of a 2002 E320 Wagon the CEO of our company is thinking of selling... my other car is a 2002 BMW 530i E39 (mint 80k also German "engineered"!)
From reading many threads seems like the W210 is a decent model with the typical German quality / over engineered (term used generously) components. following is what I know about the car, I'm looking for value opinions from walk away to stole it, looks like $5500 - $8500 would be a typical range for these cars:
2002 E320 4Matic Wagon
Blue - Tan Leather
121,000 miles
MB serviced w records - single owner garaged
Lightly used last 3 years
Sunroof Nav 3rd Seat
Known Issues:
Two small rust spots (not sure where)
AC not working
I am not afraid of wrenching (did the VANOS / valve cover gasket) on my BMW but prefer not to buy a known PITA car model. Thanks for any comments and I look forward to many great conversations here.
Cheers!

Out Of Control!!
What you think it's worth is one thing. The other half of the equation is what does the CEO think it's worth. However if the CEO is a family member and its a company car, offer him scrap value.

Would not post anything I wouldn't want the CEO to see. Not a family member, looking for fair price opinions. Figure u guys here have the repair knowledge to make some recommendations.

Here in the UK I could find that sort of car on dealer forecourts for $5,500 all day long with history and similar miles.
Wouldnt be a 4matic though ... Dont think they do them here.
Probably not all that useful as feedback!
