i cant find the transmission dipstick
Hi
I ma a new member from the uk....i need some help and advice with my car ....
i have 1999 E-class 240 Avantgarde Auto....i cant find the dipstick...should it have one.

Our cars don't have a transmission dipstick, you require a special tool to check it.
Our transmissions we're boasted to be "sealed for life" and never needed a change or check, but in 2004 Mercedes Benz said to have your transmission serviced at 39k miles and again at a higher mileage.

Hi Guys
thanks for the great advice.....had a chat with merc...they said check it once a year to be safe..the box can leek.....Dipstick about £ 70...got one on ebay £3.50 ..thats about $5
