Making headers

Hello all, I have a 97 e420that I've been tinkering with, trying to get a bit more
speed from her. As of now I have a front air dam, front belly pan, 18" low pros, RAM air intake, concerted to true dual exhaust with a cat delete and single flowmaster on each side, as well as about 300, working on more, weight strip, and soon to be a/c delete.
I oticed the factory manifold is ungodly restrictive, and of course headers aren't available for an m119 (atleast not that ive found, for a realistic price), sp I was going to fab my own. Starting with a pair of hookers for a 302 or heddman shorties I have on a 350.
Chop the bracket, make a template based off the motor, make a new bracket that fits, and then weld the pipes on the bracket. Same way I do on all my demo Derby cars.

My question is, roughly what kind of gains could I expect from putting headers on?
And does anyone know if Ford cams would fit an m119?
I'm trying to get into the mid-low 5's for my 0-60 but on a budget. I'm already down to low 6s, but looking for more.
