Where: Auxillary Fan Control Unit

Hi, may i know where i can find the auxiliary fan control unit of my 1996 E230? My aux fan is not working. My friend told me to check the aux fan control unit as it maybe busted. Hope to hear a favorable response. Thanks!

On some VIN's the module would be behind the pasanger side lamp assy, others elsewhere or none---what is your VIN number??

Your Aux fan system consists of the ACC module-----SAM----Air Control Module---Aux Fan.

What I would do first is use the ACC module to read out any faults!!

Second test the complete circuit. To do that, with key on push both Auto buttons for 10 seconds----does the fan come on?

I would also check the Aux fan connector---many times it is corroded and could be apart of the problem.

Your "Air control module is on the drivers side behind the lamp assy!!

Good Luck

thanks plutoe for the reply. my E230 car doesn't have a climate control unit in the dash. the AC is on dial that's why i can test the complete circuit.

we tried checking the aux fan by directly jumping the wires and it works otherwise it's not running.
