Front light out after windshield tint - 99 E320
I recently tinted my windshield. That night the passenger side front oval light next to the headlight (I've never been clear on this lights name) went out. I confirmed that both the bulb and the fuse are operational.
I imagine some of the water dripped down someplace and shorted the wire. The question is, what is the easiest way to repair this? I can't find anything concerning this in the stickies or after a couple searches (too many light-out threads).
Any help is appreciated.

You have fallen into the trap of what some shops call customer sympathetic psychosis!
Something happens and therefore you assume that the problem is associated with the happening------or more to the point-----your wife or girl friend burns dinner and shortly thereafter your AC craps out----naturally you would blame the faulty AC on your wife because the burning of dinner caused the AC to crap out.
Therefore I doubt very seriously that tinting of anything caused the light not to function---unless a fire hose was used.
I would look to something more rational, like a bad bulb, ballast. I may even take a voltmeter an determine if the light is getting voltage. Be patient, it may dry out in a day or so----who knows.
