Sold the W210 & leaving MB for now...
Mostly due to running costs (road tax and fuel cost are getting crazy overhere in The Netherlands) and the fact the wife is mostly using our car as a daily driver on her own, I've decided to end my 'hobby'.
Besides that, the car had $$$ of upcoming work like annual safety & emissions test, the exhaust getting rotten, new belts and tensioner, brakes, tyres, one new smartkey needed, A/C not working (lines and dryer leaking), etc.
And then the rust was also making me VERY tired. I still find it ridiculous a car like this can suffer from rust so badly. It's a love-hate thing really!
Anyway I will check back here from time to time as my inlaws are keeping their W210 and need my advice at times!
Thanks everyone for a great time helping out eachother, it's been one of the best forums I've been on!!!
This is what we got; a 2011 VW Polo TDI bluemotion.
At least it's German and in the same color...

So long, Käskop! I enjoyed your posts. Give us an update on your "Po-loch"after you've driven it for awhile. I've got a company Golf to drive for a few weeks, and it's convenient and frugal, but the auto trans shifts like an old lady in a '65 Beetle.
