Question Comand Install - '98 E class HELP!

Hi
I have successfully installed the Comand into my '98 E class however, I did not have the speed sensor wire under the right hand door seal (black and green one).

Does anyone know if there is somewhere on the '98 E class I can pick this up from? maybe soldering something to the back of the dash or something?

I look forward to any help and advise.

Thanks!

Justin

Help

Check out this site... Click Here

Or contact Steve "MBenzNL" for more info. s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com

He is the Comand expert...

"You need one wire for the speed sensor (position 6) The speed sensor is a green / black wire with a piece of black tape in the right door sill. Open right front door, remove plastic door sill and look for a unused wire. It usually has a blue connector on it. There's a LOT of wires, but you'll find it."

Thanks for the info, I did have this site address which I had found through this forum before fitting. I used this as a reference through the install.
The problem is (as I mentioned above) my car does not have the speed sensor wire. It must be because it is a '98 model which was not ment to have the nav system at all.

I am lead to beleive the infamous black and green wire comes form the front ABS sensor. IF so, I was hoping to pick it up from else where.

Thanks once again, I will keep the thingers crossed that someone out there knows!!
