I've read another thread about Avantgarde, classic etc

However, other than the exterior&interior is different for Avantgarde, is it true that:
- suspension has been tuned to be a bit stiffer
- body has been lowered a bit

Yes, different shocks and springs (that's why I didn't have to change the shocks when I lowered mine).

I have the Avantgarde Model and well. Also, the European version of the Avantgarde had certain options that were not put on US versions until a year or two later, like nav system and heated rear seats.

Advantgarde otions in the US?
I have been convinced from a number of threads here that there really is no Advantgarde option in the US, in particular, the blue tinted windows, carbon b-pillars, parktronic installation, front grill with more panes, stiffer shocks and springs, Advantgarde gearshift knob, black birdseye maple interior, exterior handles with chrome lining etc. (of course, as I have said before, the sound system still sux!). However I also read in the E55 forum that the later US benz's actually come with (some?) Advantgarde goodies as standard, without the Advantgarde badges - does this only apply to the E55s or all later model E's? Anyone?
