Hi All,

I need to change the struts on the tailgate of my wagon. Anyone ever had to change them & any pointers on removal & installation?

Haven't done mine yet but you need to remove the D pillar coverings and lower the headliner to access the mounting bolts. I've never seen a DIY but google. I did see a DIY for replacing the headliner which had quite a few images. Not sure which MB site it was on. Be prepared for some possible plastic breakage as our cars are getting older.

Never had the need myself yet but I'm mentally prepared, haha.

Thanks a lot for the link to the instructions. I'll tackle it when I receive my new pair of struts. I'm just tired of hearing the squeaking when the tailgate is opened & closed.
