make one out of a coat hanger then tape it to mimimize scrataching

Cluster pull tool

I did make one with wire but still cannot pull it out . It did start to move out a little bit.

I always start on one side. sometimes you really have to pull hard. It will come out!!

The reason they are sold in pairs is that you need to pull a little on one side and then a little on the other to 'wiggle' it out. Pulling on only one side just causes it to jam. FYI - they're pretty cheap.

Another alternative is to remove the panel under the steering wheel column. You can then push on back which sometimes helps.
