belt tensioner E430

Getting ready to install new belt tensioner and the idler on my 2001 E430. I have all the tools to get the job going except for the bloody fan. How to I pull that off? Couldn't find any instructions via searching the forums. Help is much appreciated.

You need a fan clutch tool to hold it while you loosen the main bolt. I got the Autozone loaner for the air wrench set - didn't use air, but the holder fit better than the manual one.

Is the 36mm fan nut left-hand thread? i.e. when standing in front of the rad, am I turning the nut right or the normal way to the left?
