Question Question about repairs and gas!!

Hey guys, i have one question about a recommended repair by my car's mechanic. It is the wheel bearing. They remove, replace and align the wheel bearings. I dont hear any sound from the wheel bearings and the car rides like a dream with some know problems like engine vibration while driving cuz its the motor mounts gone bad. So do i have to do the wheel bearings now or can i wait?? or why do i have to do it now? i have the money to do the repair but i kinda want to get a AMG E55 exhaust instead

the second question is that when i was putting gas (93 octane rating like as usual) a buddy of mine was in the next pump and was putting racing fuel, the octane rating is 110 and he has a tricked out mustang GT 500. He told me that i have to use this once and see the result for myself but when i looked at the price i had a minor heart attack because the price was about $8.60 per gallon wheres to 93 octane rating premium gas i use is about $3.40 per gallon. So i didnt even put a drop of it into the tank. But i just wanted to know if it is safe to put that high octane rating gas into my car and drive for a day like to go to college?? is it safe? if it is safe i will probably buy like three gallon or so and pour it and drive like hell just for a day so yea just wanted to know if it is safe.

Thanks very much in advance

Always repair your car before mods, youll regret it later if you dont. As for the octane...you have a E430...our cars are hardly performance machines...they are not tuned for 110 octane race fuel so putting that fuel in there is pretty much flushing money down the drain. Your friend could be tuned for 110 octane, but he could be one of those guys who are suckered into wasting money on cars, much like buying a gt500 in the first place.

I recommend you do some reasearch on octane numbers. If your friend is experiencing better performance from putting higher octane in, and isnt tuned for it...it means his tuning is way off (higher octane to avoid misfire/predetonation)...or hes just slapping on go-fast goodies and not tuning the car properly for it.

I will and have the money to do the repairs but the thing is that I don't see anything wrong with the wheel bearing and so why am I changing them?? If I can't buy the mufflers then I will save the money or pay for my credit card.

I did do some research on the type of gas I am using now which is 93 octane rated premium gas and I even went to the local MB dealer to ask if this gas is ok or not and they said it was ok and I have been using this for almost two years and I have seen nothing wrong but knew at the back of my head that 110 octane rated gas will completely destroy my engine and my buddy he has no knowledge about car and he just buys random parts or parts that looks or sounds cool for his car an that's why he gets the race fuel. He is a complete idiot at buying parts for the car. I thought for at least once he would be right but guess not. He is the kind of the guy that comes in every movie, the douche kind always showing off and hitting on girls even when he has a girl friend. COMPLETE MORON I should have not even listen to him and posted it here.

The front wheel bearings need grease and freeplay adjustment after awhile. Certainly by 100k miles or so.

Oh really!! Dang it then I will go ahead and do the repairs because my car right now is at 139602 and I am pretty sure that no one did the wheel bearing before!! Man sometimes I thinks that my car is holding on just for me and my dad keeps telling me to sell this car and buy like a Honda or Subaru or Mazda or something but I won't because THIS IS MY BLACK BEAUTY!!
