check engine and gas light flashing?
hi i have a 2000 e430 4matic and havent had any real problems until now but the other day i went into a convenince store and left my car running when i came back my gas light was flashing and i had over a 1/2 tank and my check engine light was on i turned the car off and back on and the gas light wasnt flashing but the check engine light is still on i scaned the car with a mac scan tool and it shows up a fuel econimy issue posibly the fuel cap?

Hi,
The flashing gas light is indicating that fuel is somehow escaping out from around the cap. I had the same issue with my E430. Turned out the cap wasnt secured properly. Once it was, the light went away.
