My MB is a E430 2000, (134,000 miles) and here is my problem. When I turn a right corner, and there's a pot hole or change in level on the intersection, the interior (courtesy light) comes on and locks comes up (unlocks doors). After a little time the lights will go off or if I open my driver's door and close it back, it seems to reset everything, including locking back the doors. Any ideas? Thanks!

It sounds like the door jamb switch on the drivers side door may be defective or not secured properly. The switch is located on the inner door closest to the center pillar. Its black and has a little plunger coming out of it.

I have a 2001 E320 4Matic. This happened to me not too long ago. It was the door jamb switch. The problem was that the switch (a black pin like push switch) wasn't being pushed in all the way. You need to adjust the pin switch if possible. If you need to take it to someone to fix it for you, a good (temporary) fix in the mean time: you can tape a penny (or a couple pennies) to the door jamb where the swich makes contact with the door and is pushed in. The thickness of the penny should push the switch in just enough to keep this problem from happening until you can fix the problem perminently.
