Front brakes replacement
Hi, i'm helping my friend out with his Mercedes, he's had warped rotors (or a warped rotor) on his car for a while apparently. i read the DIY repair PDF, but i'm just wondering what the torque spec actually is. it says torque to spec, but where can i find this information? the answers i found on Google are confusing at best.
currently i'm looking at the alldata guide for a 2002, which does not say the torque spec for the caliper bolt, and that you need a torx wrench to unbolt the caliper bracket, but not the size needed, T-45 has been said, but for early cars, are the all the same? It also says that the caliper carriers are one use items, which the DIY repair thread here does not refer to, could someone help clarify this?
Thanks very much

Out Of Control!!
If you are talking about the brake disk safety screw----the torque is 10Nm(size--look at the bolt)
your attachment suggests removing the caliper brake hose-----DO NOT DO THAT, just loosen the two caliper bolts and depending on the thread size the torque requirements are different--M10--55Nm; M12 115Nm-----those self tightening bolts should never be reused.
When you go to he dealer to purchase the bolts----ask about thread size.
