2004 c320 computer/ecu, is not reading...airbags, lock sensor - list is long.
the dealer says not enough voltage. says a reason could be - i jump started someone. someone had tried to jum start my car because the fuel pump died. i took it to my regualr mech - i had for prvoious cars. perhaps he jumped started a car.
however, how/can is ther fix, other than taking it to the dealer?

The first thing you have to find out is the truth, what and who can comminicate with the ECU. The ONLY way is either use MB DAS Xentry or equal to do a quick test and ask for a print out if you see(v), a check, that means that there is communication with the ECU. If you get an (!) that means there is no communication with the ECU. That being the case the next step is you have to go control module by control module and clear all the faults.

However some guys fool you and say that their software reads MB's well if you get a bunch of (!) on the print out don't pay him because his software was not able to communicate with the modules.

There was one sap who was so proud that he found a guy to scan his car for 45 bucks and the print out showed communication with the ECU but the rest were (!) meaning no communication. He got screwed, but he was happy!!

The object is be knowledgable and make sure your expectations!
