AC Low Pressure Port

AC was on the blink, I reset dignostic values and refilled with r34 that had green dye, everything worked good for about 3 weeks than noticed the green dye leaking fron the low pressure port. Can that port be replaced without replacing the line. Also noticed that the port did not have a cap on it. Need help.

Thanks

Are you sure the port is leaking, an not stay green cause the r134 with leak detector when filled tint the port?

There was some dye on the port after I added the r134 but I did not see the dye it anywhere else. There was more on and around the low pressure port. Should clean area recharge again to make sure?

Yes mate! the propper way to make sure the leak is in the port is refill the system, then, clean the area pretty well (you can use some water/soap to clean the port, and clean with pure water again) the heat of the engine dry's the port/area after some minutes running the engine, then, run the AC for 1 or 2 days and check again. you can put the car on a lift to see if you got some green leak detector in the AC drainers under the car (Just in the sides of the trans). is the most common leak in the W210 for age, the evaporator. Hope is not the case. Te cap in the port is just to keep it totaly clean not to close pressure at all
