98 E320 Alarm System
I have a 98 E320 with 145K miles on it. Every once and a while, I have issues with the power locks and the alarm system. Is it possible to deactivate the the alarm system and still be able to use the car. I really do not care if the power locks work or not. I just want to be able to lock it and not worry about the alarm going off.Nobody pays attention to them anyways. Thanks!

I want to be able to lock the car without engaging the alarm system. When the locks refuse to process a signal from the remote and it is necessary to open the door manually, the alarm goes off. I then have to disconnect the battery in hopes that when I reconnect it, the alarm will cease. I don't need the automatic door locks or the alarm system. All I would like to do is able to unlock my like the old days before all this technology made life (better ?). Besides I have already spent over $3K to have the problem fixed and the shop said that they cannot isolate the problem. Even at my advanced age of 59, I can still open the door without a key fob. If any of you out there have any input with the boys in Germany, maybe you can teach them about the benefits parallel circuits in their designs.
