FOOLISH Ebay bid

I hope that the fool who bid on this 6,50 euro costing part isn't a member of this forum...it might hurt realising what the part he bought for 65USD actually costs...

edit: I just read that shipping is another 40USD (20 euro from europe to US for a part like that) and 5USD in addition for insured shipping...110USD...woohoo - one freaking genious German seller here!!!

I saw this on ebay before anyone bid on it. I thought it had a price that was way too high. It had a Buy It Now of $65. I guess someone needed it bad. They must have thought it came with the Comand Unit too.

Saw that one too and noticed he has been prolific in selling stuff in ebay. I was curious and asked what other parts he offered and was surprised when he said he also had the wood panel cut for a W210 comand retrofit for about $370 (or something in that price range) plus $80 for shipping from Germany. I responded politely saying "no thank you" and did mention that I have a friend in the Netherlands selling the same thing for a much lower price.

The wood panel costs (new from MB) 217 euro excl 19% VAT and shipping per regular post is 20 euro exactly...all in all that ends up being 327USD with the current weak USD and dutch VAT...as far as I know the US dealer sells these panels for 320-330USD as well...a lot better then the 450USD from germany (wher parts are slightly cheaper and tax is only 16%).

I bought the Comand reinforcement/ console for only only $18.00 at the dealer. People need to do some research before they waste their money on Ebay.
