2002 E320 4 Matic Engine Swap.

New Poster here,

Sorry if I'm breaking any rules that I don't know about yet, but does anyone have any experience with an engine swap on a W210? It's a 2002 model and I was looking to get a little bit more power. Since the car is fast approaching 250000 miles, I think a change of engine might be in order. If some one could tell me what engine would work best (something around 375-400 hp) and what I would be looking at for a price range, that would be great.

I'd go with a bored and stroked quad xercron coated multi roller cam with a huxter exhaust system(no mufflers) on a Dodge hemi!!

Then you'll have a merhemi kinda like a lambit!!

an e430 or e55 engine will be easiest to swap in.

2002 E430 4MATIC
Being it's a 4Matic your pratical option is limited to a E430. That puts you at an honest 275hp - getting to 375hp on a reasonable budget from that platform would be quite a feat. Going the E55 route you would have to figure out getting the axle through the oil pan. Unless the E430 pan mates up to the 55.
