water pump recommendation?
My mechanic tells me that my water pump will probably need replacing "soon". It could be a year but I like to plan ahead. He will install part I bring him as long as they are OEM and not crap, which I appreciate since he's giving up his parts markup. What would be the OEM water pump? Is Laso the OEM supplier? My parts guy says it is, but also wanted to know if I needed the oil cooler hose fitting on it. I'll feel better knowing I've got the right pump sitting on the shelf ready to go when mine goes south. Thanks all!

No, just fellow forum users. I mistakenly left out a B, so it's WDBJH65J6YB087936

That's a big difference---the correct pump kit part number is 112 200 15 01-----the water pump itself does not have a part number. Therefore if you do not purchase OEM be careful what you pay and for what!!

Makes no difference to me!!
There is no indication in either WIS or EPC as to the production point or maker. I only know the part is used and sold/warranted in the aftermarket by MB!
PS: The part is also available through MB as rebuilt, therefore when you go to price ask MB for the rebuilt price.
