key fob replacement shells
So my og key fob is broken so i cant add home keys to it so i hoped on ebay and tried to buy a new shell and just replace the guts. Well turns out my mother board would not fit because the newer shell was just too small.
Also didnt have a panic button,well my mistake. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up so people wont make the same mistake i did.

There are three versions of the W210 smart key. If programmed correctly, any one of them will work. However, when purchasing a replacement shell you need to get the correct size. Even then many people have had bad luck with the replacement shell not working reliably.
Bear in mind that the dealer will not reprogram a key purchased off of eBay (unless maybe if your uncle owns the dealership
) despite what sellers say.
