AC PROBLEMS
I have been having problems with my 1997 210 AC unit. 3 months ago my AC stop working and the EC light was stuck on. I pulled up the AC values and the freon reading was around 3 and I had no error codes. I cleared the codes which deactived the EC light and I rechared the system which lasted for about a month and the freon value went to 0. I added dye to the system with enough freon to ativate the compressor but I found no leeks. I rechared the system again to 14 value and this time it took only 7 day for the EC light to come on, that was 4 weeks ago and value has not drop below 8, not high enough to activate the compressor. I am going to evacuate the system, and vacuum the system to see if it will hold pressure. My question is could it be somthing else that could be causing the dignostic system to give false values being that the freon value has held at 8 for three weeks and pressure in still on the AC system.
