Good tires for 98 e320 sedan
The car right now has bridgestone potenzas and one crappy tire on the front driverside that has to go. The rear tires i can feel the bar but it's not down to it I dunno if its that urgent to change. What gives good ride and handling I was considering michelin Primacy MXV4 215 55 r16 they are 130 a piece tho. I live in los angeles so i dont need snow tires or anything just some all seasons.

You can't go wrong with the Michelins. They were the OE tire on many of the E320s. It really depends on the tire characteristics you value. No one can answer this for you. If you don't venture far from SoCal during the winter months, you may want to consider a summer tire. Many summer tires have good dry and wet handling characteristics, but in the cold (below 45 degrees) they are not good. I would go to Tirerack and check out their reviews as well as customer reviews.

they are like half the price of the michilens and they are best sellers not familiar with the brand tho, Ironically that crappy brand i had mentioned that was on the front drivers side is also a fuzion but i believe it was a spare tire and has no tread so I wouldn't use it to gauge anything.

The above results were on Texas roads where they primarily use concrete on the highways, and a mix of asphalt and concrete on the secondary roads. Although quieter on asphalt, once they started making noise, it was bad on both.
BTW, Fuzion is a Bridgestone sub brand.

Yea the only reason I checked is because I was going to either get michilins or the bridgestone ecopias from costco and these seem to have higher ratings than the ecopias.

I have the Michelins on the E320 now, but will need new tires within the year. I have been running Toyo Versado LXII tires on the Maxima for the last two sets. This is unusual in that I always find something I don't like and change brands every set. The Toyos are very quiet, and handle well for a touring tire. Also long lasting. I am not tied to the Michelins, and have been thinking I would give these a try on the Benz. They should run $90 or so per tire.

I wanted good all season tires that would last a while and not too expensive. I found Cooper Zeon Rs3-A's at Tread Depot online. I researched them and Consumer Reports rated them as one of their highest rated ultra high Perf all season tires tested. The tread wear rating is 500, so they should last over 40k. I got them for about $88 each w/o shipping. Got them mounted & balanced at local shop. Man, they drive great. Stick to the road like glue, even in the rain. Great tires, very good price.

Any of the super long lasting ones lose stickiness after awhile. I am getting good mileage with the Michelins, but have to be careful in some situations (rainy starts etc). The Goodyear Eagle GTs didnt last 20, but they were much better performance tires.

I run the Coopers on my sons Subaru Legacy. He loves them, but like the Fuzions, I find them noisy. IMO, the Michelins are a good compromise between the somewhat noisy high performance all seasons and a straight touring tire.

They are currently running a special on the bridgestone ecopias they are like 98 per tire are these any good or is it better just to spend the extra 30 per tire to get the michilins.

I am sure they are good tires, but when getting tires for an older car there is always a question in the back of the mind. The car is 15 years old with x number of miles. Is this the last set of tires I am going to buy for this car? If so, do I want to change from a tire I like to one I may not? If you know this will not be your last set, it may be worth the gamble for the next 40,000 miles on a tire you know nothing about. If you like the Michelins, it is worth the extra money for a tire you know you will enjoy. JMHO
