Suspension replacement
Hello, my mom has a 1997 e420 w/AMG package. I do not believe it has the SLS. I have a few questions:
1. Aside from the springs & shocks, are there any other components that I should replace? The front control arm bushings have been done recently. The rear control arms are due to be replaced.
2. Should I stick with OEM parts, or are there better aftermarket parts that I should consider? My mom would like to keep the car at stock height, maybe slightly stiffer ride. Currently on staggered 18" Monoblocks with 255/45/18 & 275/40/18 tires for the front & rear respectively, but I am going to change them out with a square set of 17's with 235/45/17 from a w211.
3. Is there any similar free site such as www.realoem.com that breaks down each category to a list of parts & part numbers for Mercedes?
Thanks.
