Horn intermittent fault - probable relay issue
So, every once in a while the horn won't work.
Test procedure was as follows:
1) checked horns for power and ground;
2) checked all fuses;
3) checked for clicking of horn relay;
4) checked for power to relay coil terminals;
I found that, this being an intermittent problem, I had to replicate the fault conditions many times.
What I did was remove the horn relay and place a signal lam there and turn the key several times while pressing on the center of the steering wheel.
Sometimes the light didn't went on so I suspect either there is a fault on the wiring to the relay coil (I did not move the steering wheel at all during test) or the relay powering this circuit is going bad.
So, my question now is what is the reference and location of the relay that powers this circuit and what are the relevant grounds.

I should have expressed myself in other words.
I know what relay is the horn relay. What I want to know is what relay goes ON when I turn the ignition and so powers the circuit to the horn relay coil.
By the way, is there any precaution I must take to remove the steering wheel cover to access the switch or can I simply pull on it?

When you turn the key, circuit 15 and 15R are energized,(very simple answer) and the car starts.(try and locate a wiring diagram
Yes you want to do some reading or You tubing before attempting to remove the steering wheel and replace the clock spring----reason--- air bag.
NO do not pull on the steering wheel----you will require a special tool to remove the screw from behind the steering wheel(it is well defined in all the reading and You tubing)
