Recently my front passenger side window had stopped working, took the door apart and found out that the regulator had snapped. Placed an order online, got the part and finally installed it. but now I'm having trouble with it.

The window only half opens up and then stops, and when I try and roll the window up again the window pops out of the rail.

Any one know how to fix this?

My guess is that you will have to approach the job as if it was the first time. Carefully remove what you installed make sure the window slides all the way up and down-- reinstall.

PS: What do you mean my regulator, is that the metal lift mechanism, motor or door control module!-----or do you have crank windows

window regulator is a common name for the mechanisim that makes the window go up and down for either manual crank or electric motor.

Hardest part about the job are the steel rivets! But what you save for DYI will pay for 3 rivit guns at Home Depot. Just remember to lube the rail that the window slides up on, on the new regulator.
