Thumbs up Suspension Advice on E320

I just bought an 1998 E320. Previous owner had Eibach springs installed on stock pads. I am looking for an e55 suspension if anyone has a setup for sale. Other recommendations are welcomed too.

thanks

I have a fully stock E55 AMG suspension- 5k miles on it and in perfect condition- pads really don't matter, you can mix and match for cheap dollars. Send me a PM with your offer, Thanks.

Post THE SPRINGS

DAN,The springs are the same amg and h/r because on several pdi inspections i found h/r markings on the amg cars...
btw h/r springs will lower your car a little more than the other brand....also you can play with the spring pads for a fine tune
the spring pads are easy to I.D. with the notch/bumps on them
also I have h/r springs with 1 bump spring pads with amg mono blocks 8/9/18 and NO problem with the tires rubbing and it looks
GREAT

Vic,

Thanks for the reply.

Did you change your suspension to the Bilstein/HR combo (similiar to that of the BMW crowd?

Can you or anyone provide details on the differences in suspension from the E320 to E430 to the E55?

I am assuming they are a simple bolt on modification.

Vic, what parts of the suspension are you selling?

Dan

I have the H&R springs that lower the car approx 1.4" up front and 1.3" in the rear. The E55 comes with factory Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks (HD) and I switched them out for the Bilstein Sports.

I can sell the springs and the shocks. You car will have the same ride height as a factory E55 depending on what pads you have. Like I said before you can mix and match pads but generally you either go the same pad all the way around or a one size smaller pad in the front. I am currently running a #1 pad in the front and a #2 in the rear but before I switched my setup I had #1's front and rear.
