transmission problem and etc..

transmission problem and etc..
anyone have problems with their E and it s transmission? mine only acts weird if i go uphill and if theres traffic in front of me instead of using the brakes i let off on the gas but the car still stays at 3rpm or so for about 5 secs or less and shifts back, does this sometimes, don't know how bad it is for now but wanted to know if anyone else dealt with this?
also i hear a metal to metal grinding noise while the cars in motion from the front wheel, think its left but the noise goes away, my dad said benz's have that thing where brake dust gets into the brake pad and after it warms up it goes away or if you step on the brake with a little force, has anyone also heard this before?

Sounds like it has problems getting into the right gear - time to change the transmission oil or have your computer scanned? My frontend has rattling noises when I rev it a bit hard going up a steep hill but I'm pretty sure its not the transmission.
However, my buddy's A-class with the +- gearshift can't get into gear when launching up a steep but that too is probably a +/- gear problem. His also had problems properly downshifting when rolling downhill but that went away when I got him to change his transmission oil.
As for the frontend grinding I had that on my BM 3-series but it went away when I changed the brake disks and pads (prob a bad installation - misalignment or something).
My $0.02.

cool, thanks man, i'm gonna let my dad know, hes got his own shop thats works mostly on benz's and beamers, but i have to have time to go there plus since i'm not a customer my cars the last to be worked on

i wish, actually he got the place like5 months ago and the onlt thing i've done was get a oil change so far, i had to do everything on my own with a lot of waiting..
which sucked but i told him what you thought about the car and he also said some stuff, i'm really not car smart when it comes down to engine and that kinda stuff, only into exterior and other stuff, haha i need to learn...

I'm the first to admit I'm not a techie around here but I try based on logic
- sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm not but if I haven't tried it, I always make sure everyone knows its just a guess when I haven't tried something.
So we'll be expecting some radical mods soon eh?

well it depends, i wan gonna get a M5 but that didn't fall threw and then i wanted a new c class but then decided i didn't want 2 benz so if i get my 540i then i'm going to redo my setup on my E
