Replacement Radio Antenna

For some reason one of the wires to the rear window radio antenna, one of the leads is no longer attached?

First question is the stock antenna even compatible with the aftermarket JVC head unit the PO installed.

And if it is where could I find a reasonably priced replacement antenna?

Also not sure a repair (Solder) is possible as we all know what happens to glass when heated. I would post a picture but My wife drove it to work this morning.

Thanks for looking!

Yup did that first. They were not very helpful.. I will try another later, were capable of installing a factory replacement antenna, just haven't had much luck locating a vendor. Thanks for looking.

My last frame off restoration was a 95 jeep wrangler.

Success!

Ordered a new replacement antenna with a built in 12v signal amplifier.
mounted up front tucked away nicely! looks pretty professional too!

Could you please post a photo if possible. What brand name and model number? I have different problem but need to do same thing. One last question, what about AM radio? Did the new antenna improve AM reception? Thank you in advance.

Try these guys, I bought the same item from a local shop. they even installed it for me. total $42.00 they installed the head unit before we found the damaged antenna wire.
