10 yrs/150,000 mile engine warranty
A year ago when MB switched to recommended synthetic engine oil, as part of a suit settlement, we were notified that "To demonstrate our commitment to superior performance and quality, we will cover your vehicle up to 10 years from the date of first purchase or lease or 150,000 miles..." With this letter I also received a $35 maintenance service certificate as credit toward scheduled maintenance. Has any one made use of this certificate. Last time when I brought our '88 E320 in for service, the dealer would not accept my certificate as part payment for some reason not quite clear to me. Has any one had a similar experience? Is this new 150,000 mile vehicle and engine warranty as useless as the $35 certificate? I wonder.
