well I'm officially out of the game!

This will be the LAST Benz I ever own! Luckily I got out just in time! From the second I saw smoke it prob took a total of 2 minutes to be fully engulfed!

No, no idea? First I lost my brakes but the pedal didn't go to the floor. Instead it was like the car was off and I had pumped the pedal. They were up top but rock solid and wouldn't stop the car? Then the engine started bucking and smoking. That's when I got her pulled over and stopped and it just went up? I'm glad it happened while I was alone on my way to work though! Had it been a weekend I would've had my wife and kids with me and I don't know if I could've gotten the kids unbuckled and out in time! Definitely scary! But thanks.

Yes, glad you're OK.
From the flames, it seems fuel related, but I woul expect to see flaming gas on the ground too. The brakes symptom could come from the vacuum line burning through, which is near the fuel line.
You don't have any enemies or know any angry loan sharks?

Lol no! I'm just a homebody family man other than going to work. I very rarely get to even hang out with friends as it is... nevermind having the time to make enemies. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I have been having major electrical issues with the car for the past 3 or 4 months. I have replaced the alternator 3 times in the past 3 months, the first two times the voltage regulator fried. The last time it actually fried the rotor in the alternator. I had replaced the alternator, the negative battery cable going to the chassis and also had to install a battery disconnect switch because I kept having problems where I would get out of the car and everything was working but when I got back into the car and started it things like the windows wouldn't work, or my seats wouldn't adjust or I would have no lights what so ever. So I was constantly having to pop the rear seat and disconnect the battery for a minute or two for it to reset and then everything would work again? I have no clue why or what the problem was? and as far as the fire goes it started either in the dash or just outside of the firewall because the first place I saw the smoke coming from was out of the vents as I was driving with my AC on. Other than that I have no clue what the hell happened?
