Tail Lamp Assembly Removal
well, the wife's W210 is suffering from a faulty RR tail light. I bought a replacement, but was looking for some guidance on how to remove the tail lgith assembly? I cant seem to find any DIYs on here. It doesn't look complicated, but I'd rather not mess anything up. TIY!

it's a long story. stupidly traded the C220 years ago for a new jetta. got divorced. ex-wife got the W210 after the jetta lease was up. Now we are back together and Im trying to get her MB fixed.

the light assembly at the rear of the car fender is easy to remove and consists
of a few small nuts accessible through the liner hatch in the trunk. the unit
simply falls out into your hand. removal time: < 5 mins
the assembly in the trunk lid requires that you loosen the trunk liner. the liner
fasteners are two part....pop out the plastic center rivet with a flat blade....
which will reveal a larger plastic rivet. pop that out with flat blade.
continue removing as many of these plastic fasteners needed to gain entry to
the offending tail light.
then, to remove the tail light, similar as the trunk/fender unit: several small
nuts in the 8-10mm range and the unit just lifts off. removal time: <10+ mins
after removing them once, the time needed drops 75%

There are 3 8mm nuts around the inside of the tail light. There's one at the top, one at the bottom, and one on the side, closest to the rear fender. The one on the side is the easiest to see/access, while the other 2 are a little harder to get to. You can feel the top and bottom ones pretty easily. I'd take pictures, but I'm at work
