Built in from factory phone 1996E320
When I turn my key on the phone makes a sound like it is turning on. How do I prevent that from occuring? Also my rear electric antenna for the phone makes a noiselike it is extening and then maybe retracting. I remover the fuse from under the rear seat that says phone but the radio dial reads PHONE and will not work. How can I just stop the phone from trying to come on and the antenna to stop making noise?

I believe the simplest way to disable the phone is to disconnect the CTEL transmitter_receiver which is located behind the drivers side trunk space. Remove the cover and all will be clear.
If you want to fix the problem----that can only be done with factory scan tool DAS(HHT) Xentry.

Out Of Control!!
To remove the ashtray---you first have to remove the center consol shifter cover----then remove the ashtray insert----then remove the three screws----then lift up and out----then disconnect conector---then go have a smoke and or a drink
If you don't want to putz with that------use a small band aid!!
