99 E320 Wagon
Help on Hydraulic Oil Level
Can someone tell me where I go to add hydraulic oil for the suspension on a 99 E320 wagon. I can not nor will I take my vehicle to the dealership again. I got the worst service ever overcharged and they gave my back my car exactly how I took it to them in the first place. Help please

i think its main dealer only,hydraulic oil,if you need to add around half litre/quart,chances are you have a rear sphere,actuator gone or a bad leak,if you cannot see a leak,its the actuator/ sphere on rear gone,rubber membrane inside it splits and the sphere fills with fluid and the level in the header tank needs filling,eventually suspension goes hard on the rear

Not sure if you are looking for DIY help or an indy tech. Since you don't indicate where you are located there's no way for others to recommend local indy shops.
You can obtain the correct lubricant from several online sites which sell OE fluids or you can get an OEM equivalent as well. Start with the part number on the reservoir cap although after 14 years it may have been updated.
The first thing is to check for external leaks. As mentioned, internal leaks though not visible usually result in a harsh ride over bumps. It is normal, however, for the reservoir level to vary if you are adding or removing weight from the storage area at the back.
