ABS/EPS/BAS Lights on - 3 malfunctions
Hi Guys, I'll provide some background to this. The car is an auto 2000 E200 (petrol/gas). I leave the car standing while I go abroad to work for a period of 10 days. During my absence, I keep the battery charged still connected to the car using a smartcharger (CTEK MXS 5.0). The battery is new and provided by Mercedes. (before I bought it, the car had a history of being left standing and previous battery was faulty)
The first time I was away, no problems. The lights on the charger showed it was on the 'float' step - no problems. I stayed at home driving the car regularly with no problems. I then went away for the 10 days and connected the charger as before. This time, on my return I was surprised to see the charger had gone back to step 3 'bulk' charging. I started the car and on came the 3 malfunction warning lights. This was 4 days ago and the lights are still on although the car is driving perfectly.
I've tried the lock to lock reset to no avail. I've also read on here that it could be the brake light switch..... the brake lights come on as expected so I'm really at a loss what to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and apologies for the long winded story.

The bad news is that your handy dandy OBD scanner can't tell you whats wrong, therefore to quickly and correctly solve your problem you need a DAS Xentry scan.
FYI all of those systems trade information to function and will leave faults in others than themselves. That is why all three control modules need to be scanned and cleared
Remember that with the ABS light always on----you have lost all protection!!

Hi Musikmann.
The mechanic diagnosed it using his diags machine. He fitted a new steering angle sensor (expensive) and then reset the alarms and they havent reappeared since, so all is good.
He also fixed the problem with the battery drain - it was the alarm (fuse 11 under seat kept blowing).
Parts and labour set me back £350 ($575)
