Shaking on 97 E320 when accelorating fast

Shaking on 97 E320 when accelorating fast
I just bought a 97 E320 it all of a sudden started not idling right and the engine light came on it oly seems to shave if i gun it or accelorate fast it seems fine when im moving but starts shaking when im still and the needle jumps up and down. it does not affect the performance from what i can tell just slightly embarasing in a benz. please help what are the more likely causes? I changed the spark plugs and wires a mechanic put it on a maschien and stated it gave back alot of error codes and it could be the computer is bad but he does nto know the name of the computer so i cant check on the prices and I want to find a used one. I also need a Benz part yard location in L.A. area

Sounds like the MAF sensor to me....I JUST had this problem....If this is the problem and you dont fix it like i never did, your car will start to die and not just jump when not moving....
Give me and email about a mercedes used parts place....I know a perfect place for ya and my friend works there...He can hook you up.
p.s....go to autozone if you have one near you and let them check your car for free and come back and tell us the codes....this will help us find the problem.

what part of la are you in? my dads got a shop down near torrance... they got a tech thats tight and know his stuff and soon soem guy from germany is going to be working there and hes been factory trained
