Brake fluid type
Any tips on replacing a rear brake caliper? . Do I just get the new caliper and switch the brake line then top off? What fluid type do I use to top off is it dot4 pentosin low viscosity? Thanks for any repies

how do I adjust the parking brake? I don't know a whole lot about brakes, have to replace entire caliper (long story)tomorrow . Seems easy. When I disconnect the brake line how much fluid will leak out? Do I have to do anything else like bleed the brake ?

Not too much will leak out of the caliper, but put it in a box to contain the mess. The line will drip, but stick it up as high as you can to minimize losses, and attach it to the new caliper right away.
At a minimum, you will need to bleed that line until no air bubbles come out. If the pedal is solid, no need to bleed the others, but it is good to change the fluid out periodically.

ive never done anything with these brakes, so im kinda clueless. Last question, how do I bleed the brake? I kind of have an idea but I need a clear picture. Thanks hirnbin plutoe

Everything seemed fine after replacing caliper until now , a loud screeching scraping sound is heard when I apply the brakes. Am going to check it out tomorrow but any ideas what causes those noises? what could of of I done wrong
