Lowering my '02 E
I need your guys' help!!! Yes, I have finally decided to lower my '02 E320 to get rid of the f-ugly fender gap. I'm not looking to slam the car just to give it a more aggressive stance. I've read I need to purchase camber bolts for the front end to get the alignment correct. Anything else I need to think about?
I live in Fullerton, CA and was wondering if one of you fellow MBWorld Members can recommend a shop where I can get my car lowered. I've checked with Wheel Warehouse in Anaheim and they want to charge me a grip for the work and materials. They insane. ($1,400) So help!!!!! Anyone out there have any leads???? Also, stupid question but my car is still under warrantly. Does making changes to the suspension void out the entire warranty? Again....help!!! Thanks.

Go to TWS www.thewheelsupply.com in Walnut, CA. I had 3 cars done with them and one more this week (all Mercedes). Only $125 to install shocks and springs ( or either or). Pete, the tech there, is the main man, and he's off the hook!

Great lead Doc! I'm going to give them a call tomorrow first thing. What about the warranty thing??? Do you have any info?

I highly doubt that lowering the car will void the ENTIRE warranty. If anything, it would void the suspension warranty. Then agian, if something major goes down in the car, you can spend 125 bucks to get it back w/ the stock shocks and springs and voila!

Lowering the car will void the warranty on the suspension only. Unless it is proved to cause other problems i.e. getting caught on a speed bump. Most aftermarket suspension manufacturers have warranties on their products, provided that they are installed by an AUTHORIZED dealer.
