Have 2000 E320 and can not program garage door opener. I cancelled codes by pressing 1 and 3 buttons ror 30 seconds until light blinks rapidly. Then on Craftsman garage unit, I pressed red button and the orange light falshes. I then press first button on the mirror. Light on mirror blinks rapidly but nothing happens.
Then I put the house remote 5-10 inches close to the mirror and press car mirror button 1 and the house remote at the same time. Light on mirror blinks rapidly but nothing happens. I tried on all car mirror buttons with no luck. Any help ?

May not be compatable with MB system------search the web and or make a quick call to the dealer----it wont cost you
