Check exact oil level measurement thru Dash?
Can someone describe how to access dashboard "Dynomode" on a '02 E320?
I know the procedure on the C-Class which I tried on the E to no avail.
Or am I beating a deas horse here? Maybe the '02 just doesnt have this option because the software is older?
Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

I believe all W210's have a check. However, the procedure for steering wheel controls is a little different than with cluster buttons. Try turning the key to position #2 and waiting a few seconds. The display should say something like 'Check oil level ?'. On my MY1998 you press the '0' button twice. If the engine has not been off long enough for all the oil to drain back to the pan it may say something like 'Observe waiting period!'. It use to be in the Owners Manual. If you don't have an OM you can download one from various sites or at startekinfo or mbusa sites.

Use the up arrow on the steering wheel. The display will change from mileage to MPH and then to the oil level. If you have been driving, wait a few minutes for the oil to return to the sump. If you don't wait long enough you will see PERF ON TIME or something similar.

Thanks for both of your replies, but they don't address my question.
Attached is a picture of the screen I'm trying to access on the E320 (pic taken from my C240).
Thanks.

The title of your post suggests that you want to check the oil level via the IC on a W210 so the replies addressed that.
However, if you mean that exact display then no the W210 software is not that sophisticated and the display does not have that high a resolution. You can do an engine oil level check which is explained in the Owners Manual about page 119.

Thanks for the photo and I overlooked your use of the "Dynomode" term. Ditto to what RichardM98 said. I have never seen a screen anything like that on my 2001 E320. By the way, you can do quite a bit using your climate control display, like battery charge as one example. I don't remember the steps required to get into the diagnostic mode but it has been posted on here somewhere.

Thanks for the clarification guys, had a feeling that was the case (software not being sophisticated enough to have this option).
Musikmann - I came across some info on YT about the climate control display tricks you mentioned, neat stuff! Will try it out when I find some time.
Cheers guys.
