96 E320 P0341 & P0325

I just bought a 96 E320 with 170k on it (runs perfect). Drove it 60 miles then got codes p0341 (cam sensor) and p0325 (Knock sensor). I cleared them 100 miles later again. Are they realated? What should I change?

you could try cleaning and reseating the Knock sensor, I do not know the location of it but worth a go

They are totally unrelated, however please note you have two knock sensors 0325 is the front left side of the crankcase.

FYI: The knock sensors look to the coolant temp sensor for data, therefore check your temp sensor

Additionally and depending on what engine you have impacts the cam hall sensors---do some reading/studying on your car!!

Maybe ill try the temp sensor. Also the auxilary fans never come on either ,could that be an effect of a bad temp sensor?

That's good that the fan never comes on---that means that the engine never gets hot enough for the fans to come on!!
