tranny help!!!!!!!
just bought 97 e320 stuck in first for a steal. so i put a new tcm in and no check engine light and still stuck in first what to do next to find all the other gears.

Out Of Control!!
Well the good news is that you now drive a more valuable car and the other good news is that it is going to get more valuable.
Sounds like you put in a TCU that wasn't coded to the car, but even before that without reading the transmission faults you just changed out the TCU----could be a waste of money------Sounds like a do over---
First you need to read the transmission fault----what is it----then you have to fix the fault and finally clear the fault!-----then you put the old TCU back----then you buy your wife or girlfriend a hot dog!!
How do we do all that-----find a local who has factory software or equal to do the diagnostics---then make the car more valuable!!
